## Transcript

In this screencast, I'll show you how to use Rotaville Chat to keep in touch with your managers and colleagues.

Chat is in the Chat tab at the top of every page. The number shows how many unread messages you have.

Your chat rooms are listed here, with unread messages first. Which rooms you see depends on your workforce settings. If you don't see any, your managers haven't turned on chat rooms.

You have your own private room with your managers. Only you and the managers can see it.

The Announcements room is for news from your managers. You can read and react, but only managers can post.

And the Everyone room is a group chat for the whole team.

Let's open Announcements. Opening a room marks its messages as read.

To react to a message, hover over it, click the reaction button, then pick an emoji.

Click the reactions under a message to see who reacted.

Click All Rooms to go back to the list, then open your own room with your managers.

A manager has asked if you can cover a shift.

Type your reply, then press Enter or click Send.

Replies appear as soon as they're sent.

The small photos under a message show who has read up to that point.

Notify Me controls whether you get notifications about new messages in this room.

In the Everyone room, you can chat with the whole team.

Everyone in the workforce can see messages posted here, so keep them friendly and work-appropriate.

If you post something by mistake, click the time next to your message to strike it out or delete it. Managers can also strike out or delete messages.

Chat works the same way on the Rotaville mobile app and mobile site.

Tap Chat on the home screen to see your rooms.

Then tap a room to read and send messages.

With the mobile app, you also get notifications about new messages, so you never miss an important update.

Thank You.
